The first thing to do is to put the person in a comfortable, relaxing pose. The best pose is a half-lie pose because if the person is layed on the back he can fall asleep and then can’t be hypnotized.

Sit in front of the person so that you can look at his/her eyes, but make sure that person's eyeballs are looking up (not head just eyeballs). That way the person gets tired real fast.

Tell the person to look you in the eyes. Note: This requests big concentration and practise. If you eyes are twinkling or tearing the person will sure notice and he will be impossible to hypnotize. In that case use an object which can reflect lighting (bright metal) and hold it so the person must look up. The rest is the same.

Your voice must be confident and relaxing. Take your time. Tell him he already looks tired and that he’s proceeding extremely well. Tell him to take another deep look in your eyes. Ask him if he sees the endless depth of your eyes and don’t let him answer. Just keep telling him about how some sort of strange energy is making his body heavier and more heavier, about how he can’t even move his arms and legs, how everything is unimportant in this minute, that you have every time in the world right now, how he has an undeniable wish to sleep and dream. Make sure that you put accent to the last two words (sleep and dream) and that he keeps his eyes open. After 10-15 (more or less) minutes, if the person can not keep his eyes open, tell him that now he can easily close them. Wait a minute and keep talking again about sleeping. (Note: If you read this text slowly and carefully, wouldn't you fell sleepy?)

At the end say that you will count until 10 and on 10 he will fall asleep (Make accent at asleep thing). Start slowly with countdown making pause between numbers and again talking about rest and sleep and heaviness and sleep... if you don’t succeed on 10 wait a minute or two, talk about sleep and dream again and make another try (Many people are hard to hypnotize).

If the person is asleep, congratulations, you succeeded.

The person under hypnosis will never do what he really doesn’t want to. (Example: Jump through the window. He will ignore your last sentense or he will wake up.)

You can’t command the person, too. If you want something talk to him indirectly. Example: If you want the person to quit smoking don’t tell him: “Stop smoking!” but you can tell him “Every time you light cigarete or feel the cigarettes’ smoke, you will feel ill and you will know that it's not good for you” or don’t order him “Don’t have a headache!”, tell him “When you wake up your mind will be clean and bright and you will feel great and totally relaxed”. Get the point, right?

When you want to wake person up, simply tell him that he will now wake up after number 10. Slowly between numbers tell him that he is full of energy, that he will wake up after number 10, that he is felling much better then before, that now he will wake up... If the person is still asleep after 10 try again and if you fail again don’t panic. If you can’t wake up the person will wake up by himself after max. 5 hours of good healthy sleep. So don’t worry.
